    • 8 to 10 drops of essential oils
    • 1/4 cup vinegar
    • Essential oils
    • 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
    • 1 empty 8 to 10 ounce spray bottle

        Add one cup of distilled water to the empty spray bottle. Do not use tap water. Bacteria will grow in the water unless the spray is kept in the refrigerator.

        Add 8 to 10 drops of essential oils to the water. Popular oils that mask bad odors are lavender, citrus, eucalyptus, tea tree, rosemary and sandalwood.

        Cap the bottle and allow the oils to infuse for three hours. Shake the spray bottle before each use. Label the bottle with a list of ingredients and the date created. Use the fine misting spray setting and spray the room lightly, including drapes and cloth furniture.

    • Rarely, some people are allergic to one or two essential oils. Avoid getting them on your skin by wearing latex gloves or using a funnel. Pregnant women should not handle essential oils without consulting a doctor first. Some essential oils bring on contractions.
