Using this default application, every time you view any image on the Internet or in email messages, the application opens them to enable viewing. Each time the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer presents an image, it stores the image in your temporary Internet files. Delete all contents in Windows Picture and Fax files by clearing your temporary Internet cache. Regularly purging this file will keep your computer running faster by making room for more data.

      Press the "Start" button and open the "Control Panel." Click "Classic View," if necessary, to view the different icons in the "Control Panel."

      Select "Internet Options" by double-clicking it.

      Click "Delete" under "Browsing History" to delete your temporary Internet files.

      Place a check-mark to the left of "Temporary Internet files" and click "Delete." Wait while your computer deletes these files. You will see a status bar showing you the deleting process.

      Click "OK" when the deleting process finishes to close the "Internet Properties" window. Close the "Control Panel."
