Some schoolyard games and even grown up sports require you to throw a big ball. Throwing a big ball is very different from throwing smaller balls such as baseballs or even basketballs. One sport in which a larger ball is used is dodge ball and with dodge ball you have to be able to throw a larger ball with as much accuracy as you would a football or a baseball. How you throw the ball determines how accurate your throw will be and that is why it is important to know how to throw a big ball.

Instructions

      Hold the ball in both hands and at forehead level or above. Keep your elbows bent a little and your body in a squat position with your legs shoulder width apart.

      Straighten up your body and pull your arms back so that the ball is slightly above and behind your head. Throwing a large ball resembles throwing a soccer ball during a soccer game.

      Throw the ball down and away from your body in the direction of the target, whether that is a person's body or another team member's hands. Never aim at an opponent's head or below the waist as hitting a target in those areas can hurt someone.
