Some problems with Bosch Axxis dryers can be solved at home.

In actuality, several common problems such as power issues, interrupted cycles and incomplete drying can be diagnosed and fixed at home.

Dryer Will Not Start

  1. Press the "On/Off" switch to make sure the dryer is on. Turn the selector to the desired cycle. Press the "Start" button.

  2. Close the dryer door. The dryer will not start unless the door is securely closed. Remove any obstructions between the dryer door and the unit.

  3. Turn the machine off. Wait five seconds, turn it on, reselect the cycle and press "Start." Plug the unit securely into the outlet if it is loose or has come unplugged.

  4. Reset the circuit breaker by flipping the switch to the "on" position. Replace any blown fuses. Turn off devices that are plugged into the circuit and replace the fuse with one that has the right rating for the circuit. For example, replace a 15 amp fuse with a 15 amp fuse.

Cycle Stops Unexpectedly

  1. Look at the lint filter light. Clean the lint filter if the light is on. Turn off the dryer, open the door and remove the lint filter. Remove lint by hand. Wait for the dryer to cool down, replace the lint filter, close the door and press "Start."

  2. Check the exhaust vent for blockages. Remove any obstructions from the exhaust vent that leads from the back of the unit to the outside of your home.

  3. Clean the heat exchanger. Turn off the dryer, remove the plug from the outlet and open the door. Press the heat exchanger open button in the lower right hand corner of the unit. Pull down on the heat exchanger panel door to open it. Turn the retainers on either side of the exchanger so that they are facing and pull the heat exchanger forward to remove it. Run water over the heat exchanger to clean it. Dry the exchanger and put it back in the dryer and turn the retainers back to their starting position. Close the panel, replug the dryer and start the dryer again.

Laundry is Not Dry

  1. Remove some of the laundry from the drum. Dry two smaller loads rather than one large one. Make sure the washer is removing sufficient water from the laundry prior to putting laundry in the dryer.

  2. Check the exhaust vent and air inlet on the front right corner of the unit for blockages. Remove any obstructions and start the dryer again.

  3. Clean the moisture sensors in the drum. Wipe the sensors, metal inserts in the paddles and the inside of the drum with a soft cloth dipped in white vinegar. Allow the sensors to dry and restart the cycle.
