How to Download Video From NBC
NBC offers a number of current and past TV shows and series for free download, including "America’s got Talent," "Law and Order," "Biggest Loser," "Who Do You Think You Are?" and "Lipstick Jungle." To download a particular episode, you need to have a myNBC account, which can be created for free. Additionally, you need NBC’s own multimedia player for downloading these videos.

Join the NBC network. You will have to register on its website by filling out a form with such information as your email address, country and post code (see Resources for the form).

Check your email inbox for an email from NBC containing a link. Click the link to verify your email ID.

Log in to your myNBC account with the username and password you provided at the time of registration.

Click the “Download Player” link and save the installer file to your desktop.

Double-click the file after it downloads. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish installation. After installation, you will see an NBC shortcut icon on the desktop.

Double-click the NBC desktop icon to open the player.

Browse by series or open individual episodes to make a selection to watch.

Select the video(s) and click the “Download” button. Once the file finishes downloading, you can start watching it on your PC.

Would be helpful to know what format it downloads in. I'm downloading to use clips for a class (i.e., not for profit, not to be seen by anyone except my professor). Recent changes have made this process hard enough, and it would have been nice to know that I'm not wasting my time on this.
