How do I Clean HP 1740 LCD Monitors?

Hewlett Packard, or HP as it is often referred to, carries a number of computer styles, many of which include a large 17-inch HP 1740 LCD monitor. This flat-screen monitor includes a high resolution display that takes up minimal space on your desk while still providing you with the crisp, clear image. Clean these LCD monitors carefully, as using the wrong cleaning items will ruin the LCD monitor.

Things You'll Need

• Soft cleaning cloth
• Isopropyl alcohol

Instructions

1. Turn off your LCD monitor and wipe any dust off with a soft cleaning cloth.

2. Moisten the cloth slightly with a light covering of isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Make sure you are using as little alcohol as possible, as you do not want alcohol dripping off of the cloth. Never pour the alcohol directly onto the LCD screen.

3. Wipe the damp cleaning cloth over your HP 1740 monitor and allow the screen to air dry

• Do not use water, glass cleaner, ammonia or any other harsh cleaning ingredients on your HP 1740 monitor.
