Observe the area that has pests to determine how severe the infestation is. If there is a high infestation rate or if you see bees, wasps, yellow jackets or hornets, use a Tempo solution mixture of .05 percent. If there are only occasional insects and no flying insects are seen, use a Tempo solution mixture of .025 percent.

Remove the top from a garden sprayer and fill it with 1 gallon of water. Pour in .54 oz. of Tempo to create the stronger .05 percent mixture and pour in .27 oz. of Tempo to mix the .025 percent solution.
