Instructions

Converting an MP4 to an M4V on a PC

1. Click on the "Start" menu and open the Control Panel.

2. Click on "Folder Options."

3. Click on the "View" tab in the "Folder Options" window, and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types." Click "OK." File extensions are now visible.

4. Locate the MP4 file you wish to convert. Click the file you want to convert, pause for a second and then click it again. This will allow you to change the file name and its extension.

5. Delete the old MP4 extension at the end of the file. Then write M4V, and press "Enter." Click "Yes" when prompted whether you want to change the file extension.

Converting an MP4 to an M4V on a Mac

1. Click on "Finder" in the taskbar.

2. Locate the file you wish to convert. Click on it once, pause and then click it again. This will allow you to alter the file's name.

3. Delete the MP4 extension and replace it with M4V. Press "Enter."

4. Click "Use M4V" when prompted.
