How do I Vac a Concrete Inground Pool?
Swimming pools are divided into two main types, above ground pools and inground pools. Inground pools are constructed using a variety of materials including concrete, fiberglass and gunite. The cleaning methods used for the majority of inground pools are very similar. Vacuuming a concrete pool involves setting up the vacuum equipment, priming the vacuum and simply running the vacuum over the pool's surface. Concrete pools are durable and require no special treatment on the part of the pool owner. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Assemble your vacuum. Most vacuums consist of a hose, head and pole. Attach the free swiveling hose end to the large nipple on top of the head. Slide the head's handle into the pole until it clicks into place.
-
2
Lower the vacuum head into the pool water. Take the free end of the hose and hold it over one of your pool's jet outlets. Once the vacuum hose is completely full of water, take the hose end and place it into your skimmer hole.

Hold onto the pole and guide the vacuum head across the pool bottom. Move slowly if there is a large amount of debris on the bottom. Guide the vacuum over the sides of the pool. Once the pool is vacuumed, pull the hose out of the skimmer to restore normal flow to the pool.
