How Do I Replace 2004 Grand Am Wiper Blades?
A good set of windshield wiper blades on your 2004 Pontiac Grand Am helps you to see during a rain storm. Faulty blades can lead to water streaks on your windshield, which make it difficult to see. Faulty wiper blades also scratch your windshield when the metal beneath the rubber is exposed. Replacing the blades is a simple task if you know what steps are required.

1
Turn the vehicle and wipers on. When the wipers get about 3/4 of the way to the top, turn the car off in order to gain easier access to the wipers.
-
2
Pull the wiper arms upward toward the sky to suspend the arms off of the glass.
-
-
3
Press the plastic locking tab in the center of the wiper blade to release it from the arm.
-
4
Push the blade toward the ground while pressing the locking tab until the blade releases from the hook in the arm.
-

Tips & Warnings
Not all blades are created equal. Typically, the more expensive blades are far superior to cheaper blades.
Do not force the blade off of the hook if it does not release. This bends the arm.
Do not leave the empty arm in the up position unattended. If a strong enough wind catches the arm, it can fall and break the windshield.
