Instructions

    • 1

Play through "Final Fantasy X" until you reach Home. This location is impossible to miss. The world design of "Final Fantasy X" is linear, which means you will reach Home at the plot-appropriate time.

    • 2

Proceed through Home until a cutscene plays. This cutscene will talk about the Final Aeon. A green door will appear on the map display.

    • 3

Walk through the green door. A cutscene will play. You will find yourself on the bridge of the airship at the end of the cutscene. Wakka will also be on the bridge.

    • 4

      Walk over to Wakka.

    • 5

Press the "Square" button on the controller while facing Wakka. Wakka's Blitzball stats will be displayed on the screen. A menu will also appear.

    • 6

Select "Sign Player" from the menu. Wakka will be added to your Blitzball team (you can only sign Wakka to your team if you have less than seven players on the team).

Tips & Warnings

  • You will be able to sign Wakka to your Blitzball team from the airship bridge for the remainder of the game. He will automatically go to the bridge any time you return to the airship.

  • Wakka is the only character besides Tidus to have a unique Blitzball skill. Wakka's skill, Auroch's Spirit, adds the Shot stat for every original member of the Besaid Aurochs (Jassu, Datto, Botta, Letty, and Keepa) to his when it is used. Due to the low stats of these characters, it is usually not worth keeping any of them on the team for this ability. However, Wakka can score goals easily without ever using this skill due to his naturally high Shot stat.

  • Home will never be accessible again in "Final Fantasy X" once you enter the door marked in green. There are a number of items scattered through the level. Do not enter the door until you are satisfied you have opened all of the chests in the area.
