How to Pass Online LPN Nursing Classes

How to Pass Online LPN Nursing Classes thumbnail
Passing online nursing courses can help you join the nursing profession.

If you want to join the nursing field you must first complete the necessary academic credentials. Licensed practical nurses (LPN) must take classes for nine to eighteen months to receive LPN certification and the right to apply for a job. LPN classes can be taken in a community college, hospital, or online.

Instructions

Gather all necessary materials on hand before you start. Read the syllabus carefully. Note which readings you must complete as well as all necessary assignments. If you are directed to read specific books buy them. This will help you study. Make sure that you have all necessary equipment at home as well such as bandages and needles to help you practice. Contact the school you are working with to verify the teacher's email address and any other additional contact information.

    • 2

Complete all assignments in a timely manner. Many online teachers will let you submit work via email. Make sure your email account accepts attachments and you know how to use the attachment feature successfully. Your online school may assign you a specific email address to be used solely for contact with the professor. If you are required to complete outside fieldwork such as visiting a nursing home or attending a presentation bring a digital camera with you to demonstrate that you have completed the assignment.

Exhaust all resources at your disposal. Get in touch with university officials. Find out if you have access to additional study materials and help. A school offering LPN classes may provide students with an interactive website where they exchange information with other students about nursing coursework.

    • 4

Form a study group. Ask the college if you can have permission to join or form a study group. An online nursing study group may already exist. If not contact officials or the teacher to get the names of other students. Send out an email asking students if they want to join up with you. An online nursing study group can help you understand difficult material such as human anatomy and prepare you to deal with patients even before you set foot in a hospital.

Enlist outside resources for help. If you know a practicing nurse speak with her about mastering basic nursing procedures. Join online nursing groups such as all nurses where you can ask questions and get help with your LPN certification courses.
