Clean the bag of the Dolphin interactive cleaner after each use. If the bag remains dirty, you may not be able to use it again.

Connect the Dolphin pool cleaner to a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet. If the cleaner isn't operating, make sure to plug the unit in. Reset the GFCI, if necessary. Check the circuit in the circuit box to make sure it is operational.

Position the power supply box at least 3 feet away from the edge of the pool, but allow enough cord so the Dolphin can reach all areas of the pool to clean it.

Examine the Dolphin pool cleaner with the power disconnected. Use a screwdriver to remove the bottom plate and debris shield. Remove any debris that may be in the rubber tracks and their gears. Clogged gears can cause the machine to operate in circles and prevent it from completing its cleaning cycle.

Change the diagonal handle positions each time you use the Dolphin pool cleaner. This makes it less likely that the machine will become tangled with its power cord. If the pool cleaner goes in circles, make sure the bottom access panel is in the locked position.

Replace worn brushes if the Dolphin interactive cleaner doesn't clean the walls of the pool like it should. If you have ceramic tiles around the top edge of the pool, you may need special brushes.
