How to Use Glue Dots on Rock Sculptures

Glue dots are small, double-sided adhesive circles that stick to just about anything you can think of. These adhesive "dots" are pressure sensitive, so the more pressure that is put on them, the better they work, which is why they are ideal to use on rock sculptures. The best use for glue dots when it comes to rock sculptures is for holding the sculpture in place on a particular surface because the sculpture will put pressure on the glue dots.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold your rock sculpture upside down.

    • 2

Apply glue dots to the bottom of the sculpture. If the sculpture has a large base, cover the entire base with glue dots, with each glue dot approximately 2 inches away from any other glue dot. If the sculpture has a small base, then apply four glue dots, one at each corner of the base.

    • 3

Place the rock sculpture onto a flat surface. Make sure the flat surface on which you place your sculpture is capable of sustaining the weight of the sculpture.

Tips & Warnings

  • Adding glue dots to the base of the sculpture will prevent the sculpture from sliding, slipping or tumbling.
