A standard USB connector, which transmits iPAQ data faster than an older serial connection.

The HP iPAQ is a pocket PC introduced in 2003 with two types of connection ports for hooking up to a desktop PC. The iPAQ docking station is equipped with a USB port and a serial port for older computers that do not have USB connections. The iPAQ is designed to communicate with computers running a Windows operating system. The connection takes less than a minute once the software is installed. All necessary cables and the docking station come with the iPAQ.
