How to Get Land Ready for a Modular Home
Modular homes are wallet-friendly, easy-to-move houses that come in myriad shapes, sizes and designs. While modular, or manufactured homes used to be limited to trailer, there are now full-sized houses that come assembled and ready to install. You can prepare the land for your modular home in a week or so, depending on how much work needs to be done and what kind of equipment is available. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Clear the land of debris, trees and other items. Leave lots of room around the house site for installation and transportation machinery.
-
2
Level the ground where the modular home will sit. While it doesn't have to be perfect, since the foundation will be leveled as well, leveling the ground saves you time and problems later.
-
-
3
Grade the soil so that the land slopes away from the home site, allowing water to runoff and preventing damage to the home.
-
4
Install a foundation, depending on the type of the home and the manufacturer's suggestions. Foundation types include concrete, basements and beams.
