How to Fix "Fallout 2" on XP

If the game "Fallout 2" causes problems on Windows XP, it may need an installation repair that can be done through the control panel. This repair will replace all of the system files with fresh copies so the game can function properly.

Instructions

1. Click "Settings," and "Control Panel" then double-click "Add or Remove Programs."

2. Click "Fallout 2." Click the "Change" button. Select the "Repair" option from the "Fallout 2" installer that is now on screen and click "Next."

3. Restart the computer. "Fallout 2" should function correctly the next time it's played.
