How to Extract an Email Address From Mail thumbnail
Extracting addresses is the process of getting information out of emails you have received.

An email address is a unique address you can use to send electronic mail to someone else. There are several places to find email addresses. One common place is within emails themselves. You can extract an email address, or lots of them, from a particular message. This allows you to get email addresses from other pieces of mail.

Instructions

Download an email extraction program. There are some listed in References, but there are many more. A good idea is to ask your Internet Service Provider which email extraction program is best for your particular email program. They will provide you with the name of a program that works for your specific needs.

Run the email address extraction program by double clicking on the icon while you are logged into your email account. As you open up each email message, the program will extract addressees from the "To" field, the email headers, the CC field, and the body of the email. You can keep these email addresses.

Extract email addresses without a program by opening a specific email and either reading and copying email addresses, or doing a page search. Click "Control F," which opens up a page search box. Type the "@" sign into that box, and click "Find." The page search will return all of the places where the @ sign is found in the email, which enables you to copy all of those email addresses.
