How do I Send a Fax Online With a Canon MF3240?

Traditional dedicated fax machines are no longer necessary with the Canon MF3240.

The Canon MF3200 is an excellent value laser, all-in-one machine for small businesses or work groups. Its compact size reduces clutter in a busy office environment. Also, because it uses a laser printing engine and only prints in black and white, it reduces costs while maintaining an impressive feature set in comparison to more complex color multifunction printers. One of these features is the ability to send faxes online without a dedicated fax machine or a computer.

Instructions

1. Connect a working phone line to your printer in the jack at the back of the machine.

2. Enter the unit's fax mode by pressing the "Fax" button and then entering the recipients phone number, including the area code.

3. Scan the document by pressing the "Start" button. You will hear the scanner slowly slide under the document, and you may see the light it uses to capture an image of the original.

4. Send the document by pressing the "OK" button once the scanning is complete. This will initiate the call to your recipient and send the document.

Tips & Warnings

• If the output paper size of your recipient's fax machine is different from the size you scanned, your document may be reduced in size or broken into pieces before it is sent.
