  • Fine strainer
  • Medium saucepan
  • 1 cup Lundberg California Brown Basmati Rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tbsp. butter (optional)
  • Fork

Instructions

      Put a cup of rice in a fine strainer and rinse the rice thoroughly. Shake the strainer to remove as much excess moisture as possible.

      Place the rice into a medium saucepan along with two cups of water and 1 tbsp. of butter, if desired. Bring the mixture to a boil and cover it.

      Reduce the heat and simmer the covered rice for about fifty minutes.

      Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit (still covered) for another ten minutes.

      Remove the cover from the pan and fluff the rice using a fork.
