How to Install the Pentium III
The Pentium III is a processor designed and distributed by Intel. If you are building your own PC with a Pentium III, knowing how to install your processor is a necessary skill. Installing a Pentium III processor will require a screwdriver and a compatible motherboard. Almost all Pentium III processors come with a thermal strip, so thermal paste will not be required. Your Pentium III processor will take you about 30 minutes to install.

Locate the processor chamber on your motherboard, it will be on the left hand side and will be clearly labeled.

Lift up the level that is located right next to the processor socket.

Align the mark on the corner of your processor with the mark on your motherboard.

Place your processor into its socket and lower the lever to secure it in place.

Place your heatsink and fan over your processor and secure it to your motherboard using the four brackets located at the corners of the heatsink.

Connect the fan power cable to the port located immediately to the right of your processor.

Tips & Warnings
When placing your processor in its chamber, ensure you do not bend any of the connecting pins.
