How to Print Wedding Cards
Your wedding will be one of the most memorable days of your life. You will pay attention to every fine detail to make sure that it is perfect. Printing your own personalized wedding cards can save you money and allow you to put your own touch on them. Regardless of whether you are printing save-the-date cards, invitations or thank you cards, there are software programs to aid in all of your wedding printing needs.
Instructions
-
Microsoft Word Templates
-
1
Open Microsoft Word. Click the Office Button and select " New." On the left-hand side under Templates, select the type of card that you are creating.
-
2
Scroll through the examples and select one that best suits your needs. If you cannot find one that you like, you can search the Microsoft website (see the Resources section) for the right one. Double click the template that you choose. Your card will appear on an editable Microsoft Office page. If you have chosen a four-fold card, one side of the page will appear upside down. This is correct because you will be folding it later.
-
-
3
Personalize the card with your own words. To change any wording, simply click on the words and edit what you would like. Anything that you decide to change will be produced in the correct format.
-
4
Change the pictures that appear on the card. Right click on the picture and choose "Change Picture." Select an image from your computer. You also have the option to insert clip art. Go to the Insert tab and click "Clip Art." Type in a keyword that describes what you would like. Double click the image to place it on your card.
-
5
Save your card. Go to the Office button and click "Save As" or you will overwrite the original template. Print your card after loading your printer with the desired paper. Click the Office button in the upper left hand corner and select "Print."
Wedding Software
-
6
Select wedding software to print your cards. There are many software programs available to create your own wedding cards.
-
7
Choose a software program such as EDiT (see the Resources section). It claims to have everything you need to create the cards for your wedding. It also sells card stock. You may "Try it before you buy it." This way, you can be sure that the software is right for you before investing in it.
-
8
Create your wedding cards with LCI (see the Resources section), which is an online card specialty store. A nice feature about this website is the "FAQ" section with directions and videos to help you create the perfect card for that special day.
Wedding Kits
-
9
Invest in a wedding kit . A wedding kit contains everything that you need to create the perfect wedding card. There are many websites offering wedding kits.
-
10
Go to InviteSite wedding kits (see the Resources section), which has everything that you need from the fabricated paper to ribbons and special tools. The kit also includes the option of calling an invitation expert with all of your questions, and it includes instructional videos to ensure that you create a flawless card.
-
11
Select LittleThings Favors (see the Resources section) to create your wedding cards. Kits include software, special papers, wraps and envelopes. You also have the option to buy additional items such as stamps, favors and decorations at this all-in-one site.
-
12
Head over to your local craft store and purchase your own wedding kit. They have many to choose from, and you can find your own coordinating place cards and accessories, too. Many of these kits include software to make printing easy.
