How do I Connect a JVC Receiver RX-809VTN to an UltraVision TV?
The JVC RX-809VTN is an audio-video receiver first manufactured by the company in 1993. It has since been discontinued by JVC. The receiver is equipped with an S-video output jack for connecting to a television. Hooking up this model of JVC receiver to a Hitachi UltraVision TV requires a standard S-video cable. Due to the age of the JVC receiver, digital video connections are not available. The S-video analog connection provides an adequate picture on the Hitachi UltraVision, although it will not be in high definition. S-video delivers standard resolution only.
