Learn how to check your email history.

Many email providers give their users a lot of storage. This is helpful, because you can essentially keep all of your emails without worrying about deleting messages. However, it becomes troublesome when you need to find a specific email because you have a lot of things to sort through. Knowing how to correctly view your email history can speed up the process. While viewing your history, it's a good idea to get rid of emails you are sure you won't need anymore, just to clear up the clutter.

Step 4

Step 5

Check the "Spam" folder for junk mail. It's important to look in this folder on a regular basis, because some messages may accidentally get sent here even when they aren't spam. Most email providers erase spam messages after a specific amount of time, so important messages can slip through the cracks.
