How to Remove MSN Worms
MSN instant messenger is a computer program that allows the user to send and receive messages from another user. Individuals are able to communicate with one another no matter where in the world they may be located. Like many computer programs, MSN messenger is susceptible to malicious software, including viruses, Trojans and worms. If your copy of MSN messenger is no longer functioning as it should, there may be the possibility that it is infected with a worm.

Run a system scan using an antivirus program. If you do not have an antivirus program, download a program online--there are many available. A few require a paid subscription to use, such as Norton; however, there are also several free programs available. One example of such programs is AVG Free. If you would prefer to have a physical copy of an antivirus program, purchase a copy from a local electronics or computer good store.

Review the information provided to you by your antivirus program after the system scan has completed. Usually, you will not need to take any additional action as the program will clean any infections from your system automatically, though there may be times when further action is required. If you are asked to take additional steps to remove infections from your system, follow the directions given to you by the program.
