The Epson Stylus CX8400 is a all-in-one printer. The device can be used as printer, scanner and photocopier with a Windows or Mac computer. To set up the Epson CX8400 you need the correct driver. If you do not have the CD for the printer, the driver can also be found on the manufacturer's website under the download section for printers.

Instructions

    • 1

      Remove all stickers and tapes from the buttons and scanner lid of the Epson Stylus CX8400. Turn on the device

      Open the printer to access the ink compartment.

    • 3

      Gently pull down the cartridge lid to open the ink compartment.

    • 4

      Take the packaged ink cartridges, shake them and remove the cartridges from the package.

      Remove the yellow sticker from the bottom each ink cartridge, as it will block the ink from coming out. Do not remove any other stickers on the cartridge.

      Match the color of each cartridge to its respective square above each slot. The colored squares appear as follows from left to right: Blue, Red, yellow and black.

      Ensure the tags on the cartridge are facing up.

    • 8

      Insert each cartridge into the ink cartridge compartment by pressing the cartridge into its slot until you hear a clicking sound.

    • 9

      Close the printer and press the round "OK" button. The ink will take 2 minutes to charge.

      Load paper into the printer.

    • 11

      Insert the CX8400 series' CD in computer.

    • 12

      Go to "Computer" "My Computer" and click on the Epson Icon to start the software installation.

      When the software is completely installed, connect the USB cord from the computer to the printer.

  • If you do not have the CX8400 series' CD, you can download the driver on the manufacturer's site.
