An LCD projector is commonly used to show PowerPoint presentations.

PowerPoint, the most visual component of Microsoft's Office Suite, makes it easy to arrange a slide show presentation so there's no need to click on every single slide. Music can be added too to give the show an added dimension. The lyrics and the graphics can be set up so they'll be in perfect sync every time the presentation is shown.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the slide you wish to begin the music on. Select "Insert" from the top menu, then select "Sounds" and "Sounds from File." Locate and open the music file. In the window that pops up, select "Automatically." The music file will play as soon as the slide is shown.

    • 2

Click the "Options" button on the top menu under "Sound Tools." Check the box that says "Hide During Show" and change the setting that says "Play Sound Automatically" to "Play Sound Across Slides."

    • 3

Add images or words in the remaining slides that will coincide with the lyrics in the song you selected.

    • 4

Go back to the slide the initial sound file is on. Click "Slide Show" on the top menu. Click on the option "Rehearse Timings." Your slideshow will automatically begin, and a timer will appear in the top left corner of the screen. Listen to the lyrics, and click the mouse each time you want the frame to advance. PowerPoint will automatically save this information so the frames will switch automatically.

    • 5

Open the slide show and watch it. Repeat step four to get the timing correct.

    • 6

Save the file under whatever name you wish.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may need to go through the slide show several times to get the timing just right.
