How to Connect My Dell Computer to My HP Printer

Connect the USB cable that came with your HP printer to your Dell computer's USB port.

Go to "Start," then "Devices and Printers," then "Add a printer" on your Dell computer.

Select the option to add a local printer. Click "Next" on the next page to use the existing printer port. Select "Hewlett Packard" as the manufacturer and then select the printer model of your HP printer. Click "Next."
