How to Use a Comma Style in Open Office

OpenOffice is a software suite that contains a spreadsheet application called Calc. One of the features of Calc is a style called comma style that automatically inserts commas into numbers larger than 999. This style helps save time by allowing the user to enter numbers, without commas, and then apply the commas later. Calc is the only application in OpenOffice that has an option for the comma style.

Instructions

Open the Calc spreadsheet application and select any of the cells where you have numerical information that needs a comma style applied. Left click your mouse inside any cell that has numbers that need to have comma style applied. Select the cells by left clicking your mouse inside the field and dragging the mouse to select the cells.
