How to Remove Files From Cdrw

CD-RWs are an inexpensive alternative to external hard drives.

A CD-RW disc is a rewriteable storage disc. Unlike normal blank CDs, CD-RWs can be erased and reused over and over. The rewritable feature makes the discs a good alternative for backing up data, rather than pricey external hard drives and other flash storage. Use the native burning software built into the Windows operating system to erase and write files to the CD-RW disc.

Instructions

1. Insert the CD-RW into the drive that contains your computer's burner. Click the "Start" button and choose the "Computer" option.

2. Double-click the drive icon for the burner to display the files currently stored on the CD-RW.

3. Select the files you want to remove from the CD-RW. To select multiple files at once, press down "Ctrl" while you click the files. Press "Delete" to remove the selected files from the CD-RW. Close the window and eject the CD to complete the removal.
