How to View My House Online

Satellite technology allows us to view images of our homes on our computers.

Technology has advanced significantly over the last 20 years. With advancements in Internet and satellite technology, we are able to view almost any area in the world from the comfort of our own homes. Thanks to online map applications that use this advanced satellite technology, you can actually zoom in and view your own house on your computer.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser and go to Google Maps.

2. Type your address into the search bar. Click the "Search Maps" button.

3. Click the "Satellite" button within the map area. This will convert the map from an illustration to an actual satellite rendering.

4. Use the zoom function on the left side of the map to zoom in on your property. You can zoom in by clicking the "+" button. You should be able to see your house from a bird's-eye view. If the map is slightly off, use the directional buttons located on the left-hand side to move around the map.

5. Drag the icon of the man located at the top of the zoom bar onto your property. This will enable you to see a street view of your house.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to include your city, state and zip code when entering your address. This will help ensure the accuracy of your search.
