How to Recover Deleted Files Using Shadow Copy
If you accidentally have deleted a file from any folder on your computer, you can easily recover the file using the Shadow Copy Restore component. The component stores deleted files as shadow copy files that you can restore back on your computer. Before you search for your shadow copy file, you must make sure you remember when the file was removed so you can recover from a folder of a previous date.

Open the folder on your computer where the deleted file was originally stored.

Move your cursor over any blank space in the folder window and then right-click on the space.

Click on the "Properties" option and then the Properties dialog box will appear on the screen. Click on the "Previous Versions" tab.

Select the folder version that contains a copy of the file before it was deleted and then click on the "View" option. A list of shadow copy files will appear in the folder.

Select the deleted file you want to recover and then drag the shadow copy file to the desktop of your computer. Your deleted file will be restored.
