Instructions

    • 1

Insert the Adobe PageMaker installation disc. After a moment, the disc spins up and the installation utility loads. If it does not, click the "Start" button, and then click "Computer" or "My Computer." Double-click your CD-ROM drive, or right-click the drive and select "Explore." Double-click "Setup.exe."

Click "Adobe PageMaker 7.0." Click "Next" when the installation window appears.

Use the radio buttons on the window to select your preferred language for Adobe PageMaker, and then click "Next." Adobe PageMaker automatically selects this language for displaying the license agreement. Click the "Accept" button after reading the terms outlined in the Adobe PageMaker license agreement.

Select the "Typical" radio button to install Adobe PageMaker with the most common elements of the software included. If you are an advanced user, select "Compact" to install only those options required to make the program run, or select "Custom" to select each component manually. Click "Next."

    • 6

Enter your name or the name of the business that purchased Adobe PageMaker, and then enter the 24-digit serial number for your copy of PageMaker, found within the product packaging. Click "Next." Check the confirmation screen to verify that you entered all of this information correctly, and then click "Yes."

    • 7

Click "Next." Examine the confirmation screen to verify that all of the components of PageMaker that you want to install are selected, and then click "Next." The installation utility begins copying PageMaker from the CD to the hard drive.
