How to Print Addresses on Postcards
Sending postcards can evoke nostalgia and joy for those who receive them. If you plan to travel, printing addresses on postcards before you leave can help you keep in touch with friends and loved ones along the way. Also, printing addresses on the postcards ensures that postal workers will be able to read them and get your card to the right place as efficiently as possible.

1
Using a computer with word-processing software, create a document that has the same dimensions of your postcard. (A common size is 4 by 6 inches.) You can do this using the "Page Layout" menu and selecting "Page Setup."
-
2
Set your top, left and bottom margins to .5 inches. Set your right margin to 1 inch.
-
-
3
Type the return address in the top left corner, single spaced.
-
4
Move the cursor halfway down the page.
-
5
Change your settings so that your recipient's address will be right-aligned.
-
6
Type the recipient's name and address.
-
7
Cut a sheet of paper to the size of your postcard.
-
8
Place a mark on one side of the paper to represent the picture side of the postcard.
-
9
Insert the paper into the printer with the mark face up. If the addresses print on the side without the mark, insert your postcard picture side up. If they print on the side with the mark, insert your postcard picture side down.
-
10
Look at your paper after it comes out of the printer. If the return address printed on the right side of the page, the top of your postcard should face right when you insert it into the printer. If the return address is on the left side, the top of the postcard should face left.
-
11
Insert your postcard into the printer, and print.
