How do I Set Up Dual Monitors With the Same Image on a Dell D 600 Laptop?

Setting up two monitors to display the same image can allow others to see what is going on with your Dell D 600 laptop without having to crowd around its internal, built-in screen. You can use a regular computer monitor or even a television set as your second computer monitor, so long as the unit has a blue VGA cable input. All you need to accomplish this task is a regular blue VGA cable.

Instructions

1. Plug the blue VGA cable into the VGA input on the back of your Dell D 600 laptop computer. Plug the other end of the cable onto the VGA input on your external computer monitor, television set or other device that you will be using. If you're using a television set, make sure to hit "Input" on its remote until the "VGA" input is being displayed on screen.

2. Right-click on your Dell D 600 desktop.

3. Click "Screen Resolution."

4. Click the "Multiple Displays" menu on screen and click "Duplicate these Displays."

5. Click "Apply." The same identical image will now be displayed on both your external monitor and your Dell D 600 laptop computer's internal monitor.
