How to Play Copy-Protected DVDs on a Movie Player

Playing copy-protected DVDs on your movie player is an easy task.

Playing copy-protected DVDs on a movie player--whether it's a home DVD player or a computer DVD drive--is quite simple, as any copy-protected DVD will work with any movie player. Copy-protected DVDs are formatted to prevent individuals from making illegal copies of the movie and distributing them. But these discs will play on your DVD device normally, unless you try playing a bootleg copy of a DVD.

Instructions

1. Press the "Power" button on your DVD player or press the "Eject" button on your computer DVD drive.

2. Press the "Eject" button of your DVD player and insert the copy-protected DVD. If you're using your computer, simply insert the DVD.

3. Press the "Play" button on your computer once the DVD has loaded. DVDs will run automatically once they are inserted in a computer's DVD drive.

4. Press the "Play" button once the DVD's main menu pops up on your TV. Most copy-protected DVDs have other options such as "Scene Selection" and "Special Features," so you can choose another option as well.
