How to Build an Outside Shower Privacy Area thumbnail
Get back to nature with an outside shower.

Standing outside under a stream of cool water with the scorching sun overhead is refreshing, yet standing under a hot steamy shower on a cool night with the stars and the moon as your only source of light, is spiritual. If you live in the woods, you do not have to worry about neighbors, however, most people will need to build an outside privacy area if they want to shower outdoors. Once you locate the outside water supply, it's time to create privacy. Decide if you want two walls and have your shower "V" shaped, have three solid walls with one side open, or do you want to be completely enclosed. You have plenty of options. Tips & Warnings

  • A couple quick and easy options are; attach a C-Ring shower rod to the outside wall of your house or garage with an electric screwdriver. Hang a brightly colored shower curtain for complete privacy. On the other hand, put together a potted plant privacy hedge. Any large leafy plants will work. You can find wood pallets to use for your shower floor free, behind grocery and hardware stores.
