How to Remove a Google Screen From a Dell D600

Some Dell desktop and laptop computers, including the D600, come pre-loaded with software that provides access to certain Google services, such as Google search. This software, which includes the Google Toolbar and Google Desktop, is not part of the Windows operating system and may be removed without harming the computer's performance. Instructions

Remove the Google Toolbar

1. Click the "Google" icon, which appears to the left of the search field in the Google toolbar.

2. Click "Help" in the menu that pops up, and then select "Uninstall."

3. Click "Uninstall the Google toolbar." You will be prompted to enter "comments about your Google experience," but you do not need to do so unless you wish.

Remove the Google Desktop

1. Click the "Start" button.

2. Click "All Programs," and scroll through the list of options until you find "Google." Click "Google." A new window will pop open.

3. Click "Google Desktop."

4. Click "Uninstall Google Desktop."

5. Confirm that you wish to completely uninstall Google Desktop by clicking "OK." You will be prompted to enter "comments about your Google experience," but you do not need to do so unless you wish.
