How do I Find an E-Card?
If you want to send a birthday card or any other greeting card to someone who lives far away, you can send an "e-card" instead of a paper card. E-cards serve the purpose of regular greeting cards but are completely digital--all you have to do is email them to the recipient. Another perk is that they arrive instantly and require no postage. Many e-cards are free to use.

1
Go to a website that offers free e-cards for every occasion and style. Some of these free e-card websites are Ecardica.com, 123Greetings.com and Greeting-Cards.com. Sign up for an account on the site.
-
2
Click on a category for the relation between you and the person you want to send the e-card to, or browse by occasion, such as "birthday," and then choose the recipient's relation to you (just like you would at the store when picking out a card).

If you have a very specific e-card in mind, type the kind of card you would like in the search box on the front page. If you want a funny card to send to your grandmother on her birthday, type in keywords like "grandmother," "funny" and "birthday." You can also find e-cards that feature an interactive game or music.

Many free e-card sites specialize in a particular style. For example, Rattlebox.com offers cards featuring retro video clips and SomeEcards.com has a wide selection of ironic cards with retro illustrations. Many other sites have other types of cards.
