How do I Make a Patio Stoop?
A patio stoop is a small entryway area leading to the patio. A stoop is a good place to put a welcome mat so that guests can wipe their feet clean of dirt before entering the home. Patio stoops also improve the aesthetic appeal of a home by making the patio appear finished and polished. Things You'll Need
- Three 2-by-8-inch boards, 3 feet in length
- Shovel
- Concrete Mix
- Trowel
- Hammer
- Nails

Using your shovel, dig a 3-by-3-foot square hole 8 inches below the patio door. Make sure the area is level and clear of large rocks.

Use your hammer and nails to attach the three 2-by-8-inch boards together, building a "U" shape.

Lay this U-shaped wooden structure into the 3-by-3 foot hole you previously dug. Place the open end of the U shape against the house.

Mix the concrete according to manufacturer's instructions.

Pour the concrete into the wooden frame, filling it up to the top of the wooden boards.

Use your trowel to smooth the concrete while it is still wet.

Allow to dry for the length of time specified by the manufacturer's instructions.

Remove the wood frame and wash any dirt from your patio stoop. Enjoy!
