How to Make a Reborn Doll Miniature Doll House

Create a nursery-themed doll house for a reborn doll.

A reborn baby doll is an elaborate replica of a real baby. Creating a realistic miniature nursery-themed dollhouse for the reborn baby could be a fun project for a young doll owner. Family themed magazines offer baby nursery decorating theme ideas that could be incorporated into this miniature version. Dresser bureau drawers are the primary building blocks of the reborn dollhouse furniture construction. Look for used bureau dressers at tag sales and thrift shops.

• Cardboard box, 5-feet high, wide and long
• Masking tape
• Scissors
• Poster paint
• Foam paintbrush
• Four 3-feet-wide dresser drawers
• 4 yards cotton fabric
• Tape measure
• Hot glue gun
• Two small blankets

1. Tape all bent edges and openings of the box shut to strengthen the box.

2. Cut the top off the box.

3. Paint the inside of the box a pastel color and paint on windows.

4. Paint the outside of the box a darker color and paint on exterior windows.

5. Stack two dresser drawers on top of each other, with one drawer bottom up and the top drawer bottom down.

6. Measure the height of the stacked drawers and the perimeter around three sides.

7. Cut a piece of fabric the height of the stacked drawers and double the perimeter.

8. Fold and glue the fabric to the top edge of the top drawer, creating pleats in the fabric.

9. Fold one blanket to fit inside the top drawer to create a padded baby bed.

10. Stack the remaining two drawers, both with bottoms facing up for a changing table.

11. Cut a piece of foam to fit the top drawer bottom. Cover it with a piece of fabric.

12. Attach a pleated skirt to the changing table with the glue gun.
