In the state of New Jersey, professional carpenters have the option to join the carpentry union. In New Jersey, this union is officially known as the NJ Regional Council of Carpenters. There is no screening process to join and it's a volunteer-based organization. Once you're a member of the union, you can start volunteering throughout your community to help build the union's presence and protect your fellow carpenters. You'll also be eligible to receive gifts and incentives from the union leaders.

      Visit the NJ Regional Council of Carpenters website at NJCarpenters.com.

      Click "Membership" from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, and then click "Members: Register Now."

      Fill out the online form, including your UBC (United Brotherhood of Carpenters) ID, your email address and a password.

      Check the box that says "Receive Email From NJRCC" and click "Submit" to join the union.
