How to Build a Box for Barn Owls
Barn owls will readily use nest boxes as long as they're set up near terrain that is suitable for the species. In the wild, barn owls seek breeding sites in the vicinity of farms, old buildings and church towers. They prefer to be near open fields so they can hunt. Locate the box in an area where owls have been recently spotted. Place the box in a high area, such as in a barn or on a silo. Barn owls will often return to a nesting box the following season. Does this Spark an idea?
