How to Use Toshiba Media Keys With iTunes

Toshiba laptop computers and desktop computer keyboards have a series of specialized keys called "Media Keys." These keys allow you to perform certain media-related functions on your computer with the tap of a button. Though no key is by default set to open iTunes, you can adjust the function of any Media Key that you'd like and have it open iTunes by adjusting your Toshiba computer's settings.

Instructions

    • 1

      Click "Start."

    • 2

      Click "All Programs."

    • 3

      Click "Toshiba."

    • 4

      Click "Utilities."

    • 5

Click "Toshiba Assist." Click on the "Optimize" icon followed by the "Button Support" option. Select the icon for the Media Key you'd like to reassign. Use the "Target" box in the window now on the screen to select the "iTunes" icon from either your desktop or "All Programs" menu. Click "Apply." Now when you press that specific Media Key iTunes will open on your computer.
