How to Apply for Canadian Alberta Grant Money
There are many grants offered by the government of Alberta to aid artists and arts-related businesses. The Alberta Foundation For the Arts, for instance, runs Cultural Industries Project grants that cover art production, marketing, training and career development and research for companies that work in cultural fields. All the grants offered, however, are designed to help foster artistic production and support for Alberta residents. If that's you, then read on. This will improve your chances of getting funding.

Open the application and type the information into the appropriate boxes. You can save the information on this form. Make certain that you complete the entire form. For many grants, incomplete applications will be rejected. If there is information requested which you do not know, save the application and return to complete it after you've acquired that information. Remember to save often in case of a computer malfunction or loss of Internet connection.

Read through the application at least twice. Make sure everything is properly filled in. It can help to print the application and edit it on paper. Staple the application and put it in an stamped, addressed envelope. Remember if it is many pages long, you will need to pay for extra postage. It may be best to do this at the post office.

Wait to hear back from the government. Check the grant website to see when you should be hearing back. You may get a letter or e-mail from the government letting you know that they received your application. If not, a check-in call after three weeks is customary.
