1. Look for two steel balls in the nail polish. When you shake the OPI nail polish, you will hear the steel balls. However, some of the fake OPI nail polishes will not have the steel balls, or will have more than two. Only the genuine OPI nail polishes will have two steel balls.

2. There is always the address of the OPI distribution center on the back of the nail polish. This address will be in the Netherlands.

3. A genuine bottle of OPI nail products has a serial number engraved on the side of the bottle. The serial number will be up towards the cap. This number should not be too noticeable, but you should be able to see it.
