How to Install Java in Linux Ubuntu
If you want to install Java in Ubuntu, you have to install a version that is specifically coded to work within that operating system. The version of Java that you can download and install for Windows won't work on a Linux machine like one running Ubuntu. You have to go to a special section of Java's website and download the free installer for the version of the software that will work with Linux.
