Pfaff Creative 1473: How to Thread the Bobbin
Pfaff is a brand of sewing machines that became popular in the late 1960s. They were well-known for being "smart," computerized sewing machines. The Pfaff Creative 1473 looks intimidating with its electronic buttons, but you can easily wind a bobbin and thread the machine just like you would a standard sewing machine.
Instructions

-
1
Open the lid of the sewing machine.
-
2
Load a spool of thread on the pin in the center of the top. Place the cap on it.
-
-
3
Guide the thread through the first two points on the top of the machine as if you were threading the needle. Then pull the thread towards the right.
-
4
Place the bobbin on the winder pin on the top right side of the machine.
-
5
Bring the thread through the little hole in the bobbin.
-
6
Snap the bobbin in place.
-
7
Turn the machine on.
-
8
Hold on to the thread that was guided through the bobbin hole.
-
9
Press the presser foot down. The bobbin will begin to wind.
-
10
Release the presser foot when the bobbin is fully wound. Cut it from the spool of thread and snap it back out.
-
11
Thread the rest of the machine.
-
12
Take the accessory box off. You will see a little compartment. Open it and pull out the bobbin case. Place the bobbin inside it, leaving a few inches out. Replace the bobbin and the accessory box.
-
13
Rotate the hand wheel towards you so the needle comes down and back up. This will create a loop. The machine is then ready to use.
