Print quality photos with Kodak's Photo Paper using your HP1600.

Hewlett-Packard's HP1600 printer model gives you the ability to print your own digital photos from home. Kodak, the manufacturer of several digital cameras and camera accessories, offers a line of photo paper in gloss, semi-gloss or matte options. Choose from three sizes: 8.5x11, 5x7 or 4x6. The finished project offers an instant dry technology and Kodak claims their photo paper gives professional results suitable for showcasing and framing.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the paper tray door towards you and fully pull out the paper tray extender.

    • 2

Remove any paper already in the tray.

    • 3

Set a layer of printer paper, glossy side down, in the tray, and push it back into the printer until you cannot push it any further.

    • 4

Push the paper-width guide against the sides of the photo paper until it fits securely against the sides. Do not push the guide too tightly against the paper--it should not cause the paper to bow and the paper should sit flat.

    • 5

Click on the "Paper/Quality" tab on your Printer Properties dialog box on your computer. Select the appropriate photo paper size, depending on which Kodak photo paper you are using. Select "Type" as the appropriate photo paper type if given the option. Click "OK" and "Print."
