How to Enable SSL on the Server
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is the application protocol for web servers. If you add Secure Socket Layer (SSL) as a service, you have HTTP Secure (HTTPS), which provides a layer of encryption and security to the server. SSL, like many other server applications, is run as a service and can be started and configured from the Control Panel. To enable SSL on a web server, you must first obtain a security certificate which you configure on the server.
